Topgolf is a great place to go if you want to relax and unwind in a fun environment. If I had to sum up the experience quickly I would say it is the golf equivalent to bowling if that makes sense. Basically Topgolf is a huge building with multiple different levels. Each level is filled with “bays” that can be rented out by the hour. The bay includes a golf mat and a ball dispenser that supplies you with an endless stream of golf balls. There is also a machine there that tracks the ball once you hit it and tells you how far you hit the ball and even traces the path of the ball in the air.
There is also a screen that shows your shot to everyone else who is sitting in the bay. This screen is where you can play virtual games or even play virtual golf courses. Okay, I know I may be loosing the people who aren’t interested in golf, but in addition to golf there is food and drink service. You can order food and drinks from a full menu which really makes the experience entertaining for everyone, even if the golf isn’t for you.

Topgolf is built for groups and is more than capable of serving as a venue for a small or large birthday party. If you want to host your child’s birthday party at Topgolf I would recommend getting a reservation or speaking with your local Topgolf to ensure that you have enough bays reserved for your party.

The next question is then “does Topgolf have golf clubs for kids?” The answer to this question is also yes! Topgolf has clubs that are designed for kids and younger players so that they can enjoy the fun and excitement of the activity as well. I mean… could you imagine a seven year old trying to swing a full sized golf club. It would probably be pretty funny but it would also not be enjoyable for the child.
What is the best time of day to bring kids to Topgolf?
While there is not an age limit at Topgolf the crowd can definitely get more mature as it gets later. The age of your kids and your tolerance of inappropriate language, will determine what time is the best to bring kids to Topgolf. If you have toddlers or younger kids it would probably be best to bring them to Topgolf earlier in the day. It will be less busy and they will be less overwhelmed by the whole experience. Teenagers and older kids will probably be okay at any time of day but be warned that as the night goes along, some participants in nearby bays may start getting a little inappropriate and using vulgar language as they start being competitive with their friends. If you want to play it safe and get a feel for the Topgolf experience I recommend going earlier in the day.
