When you look at the awesome neighborhoods in downtown Nashville, TN one of the standouts is SoBro. SoBro offers great opportunities for dining, entertainment and living. In recent years a number of incredible modern apartment complexes have been been built in the SoBro neighborhood in Nashville. I recently went around downtown to tour the new Modern Apartments that have popped up in SoBro just to get a feel for what they have to offer. I have always had an interest in architecture and interior design so I enjoy touring these new apartments for inspiration mostly.
In this article I will share some of my thoughts on some of the new modern apartments in SoBro Nashville, TN. I will include what I liked, what I didn’t like, and my picks for the best apartments in SoBro. Nevertheless here are a few of the top modern apartments complexes in SoBro Nashville, TN.
The SoBro Apartments Nashville, TN
The SoBro Apartments are located at 205 Demonbreun Street. Something I did not realize before I arrived was that these apartments are owned and operated by WhyHotel. When I approached The SoBro Apartments I was impressed with how convenient the location was to a number of retail stores and popular restaurants. This high rise apartment in Nashville features floor to ceiling windows, luxury finishes, and efficient new appliances.
Some of the things I enjoyed most about The SoBro high rise apartments in Nashville are the natural light in the units, the views, and the amenities. I am a big fan of the light color scheme in the kitchens and the subway tile backsplash. The floor to ceiling windows let in tons and I mean tons of natural light which is a big plus in my book. These windows also let you enjoy the extraordinary views. If you have a unit on one of the higher floors you have an opportunity to enjoy some awesome skyline views of the SoBro neighborhood. I am also a big fan of the amenities, specifically the pool, gym and hot tub.
A few of the things that may have made me think twice about living in the SoBro Apartments in Nashville, TN. The biggest negative for me is the exposed concrete. Yes I know some people love this feature but for me it feels a bit too industrial, brutalist, or whatever you want to call it. Bottom line is its not for me. If you are a fan of exposed concrete, this may actually be a positive for you. Another negative for me was the dishwasher. I know this may seem a little bit high maintenance but some of the other apartments I have toured had a nicer dishwasher.
Sentral SoBro Apartments Nashville, TN
When I toured Sentral SoBro Apartments in Nashville they were brand spanking new. Located at 516 Lea Avenue these apartments had an okay location and were close to some of my SoBro favorites. This modern luxury apartment complex offers units ranging from studios to two bedrooms. You can even get units that are furnished with luxury furniture as well. With awesome amenities, a great location, and luxury finishes. Sentral SoBro is a great choice for those who seek a modern luxury apartment in SoBro.
Let me start off with a few of the things I adored before I dive into some of the things that turned me off. First things first, I loved the kitchens. Specifically I loved the light cabinets and granite countertops. The cabinets had a cool modern texture that seemed kind of weird at first but grew on me within a few minutes. Looking back, I actually love them. I loved the windows. While they are not floor to ceiling they do still allow for plenty of natural light and great views of the city. Apparently some units have unbelievable panoramic skyline views of downtown Nashville. The amenities were great however I did prefer the pool and gym at The SoBro apartments.
Now for the things that I wasn’t so much a fan of. The first thing I noticed that I did not like was the location. Don’t get me wrong these apartments are obviously located in SoBro and within walking distance to a lot of entertainment and dining. However, the main scene was quite a long way away. For some this may be a positive but for others it could be a negative. That was really all the negatives I could come up with for this modern luxury apartment community in SoBro.
